Almeria Town

An historic yet modern town located approx. 1 hour from Huercal-Overa. 

It hosts a range of shopping centres, restaurants, bars and a port. 

You can also visit the historic fort of Alcazaba.

Garrucha Town & Sea Side

A traditional fishing village whose slogan is ‘Sun and Seafood’.

It has a lovely Friday street market and a range of seafood restaurants which are stocked nightly by the returning fishing boats to the port.


A very long and beautiful stretch of coastline with many blue-flag beaches. 

Mojacar is a unique old town with a large number of bars and restaurants stretching many kilometres.

Velez Rubio

A medieval fortified town well worth a visit to see the historic churches built in the 18th century. 

You can also visit the Caves of Letreros which contain cave drawings and is where the famous Indalo Man originated.

Vera and Vera Water Park 

A day at the Parque Aquatico in Vera is an absolute must, especially for families with children. 

A wild waterpark packed with slides, flumes and wave pools. 

Open May to September and just a 30 minute drive away.

Luna Cable Park

A state-of-the-art water-sports and adventure centre approx. 30 minutes drive away. 

Many activities for all the family including an inflatable obstacle course on the lake, cable-pulled wake-boarding and water-skiing. 

Mini Hollywood

Oasys Theme Park the largest Spaghetti Western theme park in the area. 

An historic backdrop for legendary films like ‘Indiana Jones’  and ‘The good, the bad and the ugly’. 

Follow the footprints of Clint Eastwood or Sean Connery at this wild west theme park.  There is also a huge zoo, swimming pool and museum.  

Huercal-Overa Town

Just a 7 minute drive from us is the local town containing a cinema, large municipal pool, a sports centre, shops, bars and restaurants. 

The towns main park is a wonderful area with animal pens, swings and slides and picnic areas.
